Great Lakes Laser Services
began in 1981 and is the oldest laser marking job shop in Michigan serving a wide range of
industries. State-of-the-art YAG and CO2 lasers, using the
most advanced technology makes us a leader in the laser industry.
Laser engraving technology was first introduced in the 1970s
and has since become an accepted marking method in most industries. It is a
permanent and extremely flexible way to identify parts and can incorporate, logos,
serialized numbers and barcodes all in a variety of sizes.
Since laser marking is a non-contact process, it can be used to mark
the most sensitive materials without damage or stress to the product. Bar codes,
and numeric serialization are only some of the services offered.
Laser engraving is also used to mark a wide range of tools used in
surgery and to identify biomedical implants. This application is gaining more
interest, because a laser mark causes no distortion to delicate parts, produces a mark
that survives sterilization and has no effect on parts intended for implantation into the
human body.
